BLACKOUT SIMULATION

This is an activity to practice the past progressive tense.

1-After introducing and practicing the tense, and all of a sudden, turn the classroom lights off and turn them back on right away.
2-Have your students work in pairs and ask each other WHAT WERE YOU DOING WHEN THE LIGHT WENT OUT?
3- Ask the students to report what their partners were doing when the light went out.
